Ophelia Overton

Ophelia is a Content Producer at MediaJustice, where she creates digital campaigns that empower communities of color to become more connected, represented, and free. She’s spent her career writing, producing media, and driving digital strategy at organizations fighting for social, cultural, and political change. Whether at an agency like M+R or working in-house at nonprofits like Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Cities of Service, Ophelia leverages media narratives to challenge the power structures that keep Black and brown folks down. She graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Media, with a focus on the political economy of the media. Based in Los Angeles, Ophelia likes to paint and go to the beach when she’s not at work.
