The fight to reduce the use of electronic monitoring in Illinois is just beginning—and we need your help to keep up the pressure.

This Friday February 22nd, from 10 am to 12 pm, the House Judiciary Committee of Illinois is holding a public hearing on the use of electronic monitors for people released from prison. We need your support to make sure members of the Judiciary Committee understand that anyone who completes their time should have the right to return home without further state surveillance or the threat of e-carceration.

The public hearing is scheduled for this Friday, February 22nd at the Bilandic Building on 160 N. Lasalle, Chicago. RSVP to be there today! We will follow up with you to ensure that you arrive with the Chicago coalition of the Challenging E-Carceration campaign.
