Community Alliance for Global Justice

Community Alliance for Global Justice educates and mobilizes with individuals and organizations to strengthen local economies everywhere. CAGJ is grassroots, community-based and committed to anti-oppressive organizing as we build solidarity across diverse movements. CAGJ seeks to transform unjust trade and agricultural policies and practices imposed by corporations, governments and other institutions while creating and supporting alternatives that embody social justice, sustainability, diversity and grassroots democracy.

Eradicating Offensive Native Mascotry

EONM (Eradicating Offensive Native Mascotry) is a grassroots organization that is dedicated to informing individuals and mobilizing groups to combat the public misappropriation of Native American imagery, and calling out entities complacent with, as well as ones directly profiting from, blatant racism. We do this by educating ourselves and others on history, current events, public relations, and social media tactics.

Hollow Earth Radio

Hollow Earth Radio is the Pacific Northwest’s freeform online radio station that presents a forum for underrepresented music, sounds and perspectives. We are located in the Central District, Seattle’s historically African American neighborhood and later in 2016, we will begin broadcasting terrestrially (KHUH 100.3 FM) as a Low Powered FM station. Through the lens of media justice, we work directly with the community to build a training curriculum for people to become citizen journalists, DJ’s, sound engineers and more while providing a venue for artists and performers to showcase their work. We are also working towards creating news programing where we can consistently and artfully cover the issues in our region.

Ella Baker Center for Human Rights

The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights advances racial and economic justice to ensure dignity and opportunity for low-income people and people of color. We are building a people-powered movement to end mass incarceration, criminalization, and state violence by moving funding away from prisons and punishment and toward family-driven solutions that improve public health, safety, and prosperity for all communities.

The Utility Reform Network (TURN)

TURN stands up for consumer rights, affordable rates and a more livable California. TURN challenges California’s powerful energy and telephone companies, saving consumers and small businesses millions, and demanding reliable service and environmentally sound policies. Our activities focus on three areas: • We advocate for fair prices. Our skilled legal team saves utility customers millions and advances groundbreaking policies and programs at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the State Legislature. • We assist consumers with individual needs. Our consumer advisors help consumers understand their bills, challenge unjust utility company practices and access information about important money-saving programs. • We mobilize people statewide to take action for change. Our action team provides accurate and understandable information about critical energy and phone issues, and mobilizes people statewide for change through our campaigns.

Instituto de Educacion Popular del Sur de California

IDEPSCA works to create a more humane and democratic society by responding to the needs and problems of disenfranchised people through leadership development and educational programs based on Popular Education methodology. Specifically our goal is to organize and educate immigrants concerned with solving problems in their own communities.

Media Alliance is a leader in building coalitions for press freedom and media access, accountability and alternatives.
