TechnoFascism is no longer a fringe conspiracy theory – it’s our emergent political reality. It’s the sad state of affairs comprising corporate-state collusion, tech-enabled social control, and a handful of tech oligarchs with a shared commitment to patriarchy and white supremacy.
To fight TechnoFascism, we need to understand it. That’s why we’re excited to join Marguerite Casey Foundation’s book talk tomorrow to discuss the rise of TechnoFascism, Big Tech’s dystopian playbook, and how communities are fighting back. Our Head of Programs, Jacinta González, will join journalist Gil Durán, author of The Nerd Reich, and Dr. Safiya U. Noble, David O. Sears Presidential Endowed Chair of Social Sciences at UCLA.
As Gil said in a recent NPR interview, “My book is about a cult of Silicon Valley billionaires who believe that in the 21st century, technology will make democracy obsolete.”
