This series positioned thousands to understand the for-profit partnerships between Palantir, NVIDIA, xAI, the AI firms and Donald Trump that explain why Elon Musk showed up to the inauguration.
We track tech’s buildout – where the compute power the AI industry needs meets our fundamental human rights. The People Say No was the first regional analysis of data centers in the South, with case studies from five states and mostly Black communities dealing with environmental redlining.
And we track trends and motives over time. Media Capture maps how tech oligarchs bought the media system, and why, speaking to the common threads in the crisis of local journalism and democracy in the AI era. This report is the state of the union of the media justice fight today, with implications for how we can change our information ecosystems.
