Tomorrow, October 22nd, 2015 the Federal Communications Commission will vote for the comprehensive reform of a broken prison and jail telephone industry. The FCC is voting to cap the rates for all calls from prison, jails and detention centers; ban most fees; and pave the way for additional reforms. This is a step that will improve the lives of the 2.4 million people who are incarcerated in the United States, and their families.
Thursday at 10:30 am ET we will be watching the vote and live tweeting in celebration using the hashtag #PhoneJustice.Follow us and our members on twitter.
