Since 1969 the nonprofit National Consumer Law Center® (NCLC®) has used its expertise in consumer law and energy policy to work for consumer justice and economic security for low-income and other disadvantaged people, including older adults, in the U.S.

The Praxis Project

The Praxis Project is a nonprofit movement support intermediary and an institution of color that supports organizing and change work at local, regional and national levels. Focused on movement building for fundamental change, their mission is to build healthy communities by changing the power relationships between people of color and the institutional structures that affect their lives.

Progressive Technology Project

Our mission is to help community organizations achieve their goals more effectively and efficiently. Our programs help community organizers build their skills and understanding to integrate technology into the work of the organizations. PTP was founded by grassroots organizers to support social change community-led organizing in low-income communities and communities of color in 1998. PTP strengthens grassroots social change community organizing in poor communities and communities of color by delivering specialized training for community organizers in communications and database technology creating and supporting an online database (PowerBase) for organizing providing a framework for technical assistance.

Prison Radio

Prison Radio’s mission is to challenge unjust police and prosecutorial practices which result in mass incarceration, racism and gender discrimination. We do this by bringing the voices of men, women and kids into the public debate and dialogue on crime and punishment. Our radio broadcasts help spur the public to examine core issues that create crime and heighten disenfranchisement. Our educational materials serve as a catalyst for public activism, strengthening movements for social change.

Witness for Peace

Witness for Peace (WFP) is a politically independent, nationwide grassroots organization with a mission to support peace, justice and sustainable economies in the Americas by changing U.S. policies and corporate practices that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Community Alliance for Global Justice

Community Alliance for Global Justice educates and mobilizes with individuals and organizations to strengthen local economies everywhere. CAGJ is grassroots, community-based and committed to anti-oppressive organizing as we build solidarity across diverse movements. CAGJ seeks to transform unjust trade and agricultural policies and practices imposed by corporations, governments and other institutions while creating and supporting alternatives that embody social justice, sustainability, diversity and grassroots democracy.

Ella Baker Center for Human Rights

The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights advances racial and economic justice to ensure dignity and opportunity for low-income people and people of color. We are building a people-powered movement to end mass incarceration, criminalization, and state violence by moving funding away from prisons and punishment and toward family-driven solutions that improve public health, safety, and prosperity for all communities.
