Podcasts preview Twin Cities Community Radio's vision for community-led and community-produced radio
TWIN CITIES, MN – In celebration of World Radio Day, Feb. 13, the Twin Cities Community Radio (TCCR) collaboration is releasing five podcasts showcasing types of programming they envision for community radio stations in the diverse Phillips (Minneapolis) and Frogtown (St. Paul) neighborhoods. The collaboration includes individuals and community organizations working towards securing low-power FM radio licenses made available by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as part of the Local Community Radio Act. Group members expect to submit license applications this year. The five new podcasts highlight community life and represent the range of programming the group expects to air once they receive licenses. All are available on TCcommunityradio.org.
