Vivek Bharathan

Vivek is a Data Center Fellow at MediaJustice, where he coordinates resistance efforts against data center expansion while building cross-movement power to challenge tech extraction in communities. Vivek has spent his career between nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions working in communications and IT departments. He joins MediaJustice after a year of photographing social movements in Tucson, experimenting with a small woodworking business, and helping to organize with his community members against a hyperscale data center proposed for Pima County, just outside Tucson. He lets loose by playing baritone sax with a local brass band.
